Questions
Is there a free tier?
Every new company starts on the free Starter plan automatically, no card required. It's a 60-day trial, sized for a small team to run a real pilot — invite staff, run a week of clock-ins, approve a timesheet, see a schedule — on real data, not a demo. The 60 days only start counting once you've actually added your first staff member — provisioning the company and taking a couple of weeks to onboard people doesn't burn trial time.
What happens if we outgrow the Starter plan's headcount?
Starter includes up to 5 active employees. Trying to add a 6th is blocked right away with a message to upgrade — and if your roster is already over that limit, the company's account is paused until you move to a paid plan (your data isn't touched, and you can still get to the billing page to upgrade from a paused account). Upgrading to a plan that covers your headcount reopens the account immediately, no waiting on us.
What happens when the 60-day trial ends?
The same thing as outgrowing the headcount limit above — the account is paused until you move to a paid plan, whatever your headcount is at the time. Staying under 5 employees doesn't extend the trial; Starter is meant to get you through a real pilot, not to be a permanent home. Your data is untouched and the billing page stays reachable the whole time, so upgrading takes a minute whenever you're ready.
What counts as an "active employee"?
A person who actually worked in a given calendar month — they clocked in, or had a timesheet submitted for that month. Someone you've added but who never worked doesn't count, and it isn't a point-in-time headcount that a company could game on the last day of the month. The meter resets every month, so a smaller team the next month costs less, not more. (The Starter plan's limit of 5 counts everyone on your roster, so the trial can't be stretched by inviting people who haven't started yet.)
What happens when I outgrow a plan?
Switch plans any time from your dashboard's billing page — your schedules, timesheets and settings carry over unchanged. Plans differ in included headcount and in what they include (see the table above). If you move to a plan without a feature, the data you created stays where it is; the feature simply stops being available until you move back.
How do I pay?
Whichever payment channels your TockLogic instance has turned on — card, mobile money or bank transfer, depending on what's available. Pick one at checkout when you switch to a paid plan.
I only need overtime calculation for my own product.
That's what RuleVerdict is for: the same overtime engine as an API, priced on the number of timesheets you evaluate, with a free tier to build on.
